Bonnie’s Rocket, An Apollo 11 Story

In this presentation, I host an interactive reading and highlight the real-life inspiration behind the book. Students learn fun facts about the historic Apollo 11 moon landing and space travel today. Through a demo rocket launch, we engage with the STEM principles behind rockets, and classroom visits can include a hands-on rocket craft activity for students to take home. I encourage questions from students and customize the presentation based on the grade level, type of visit, number of students, and available time.
